What you react to, is your reality

A Life-Changing Session: Encounter with an Extraordinary Couple

I met with an incredible couple yesterday via Zoom for an engaging two-hour session. It turned out to be an absolutely life-changing power meeting! For the sake of anonymity, I’ll change their names to protect the innocent and the guilty in this story (ha ha).

Diving Right In: The Argument

The session began with some light small talk, but Yolanda, eager to get started, quickly dove into the deep end. She recounted a heated argument she had with her husband Stevie earlier in the week.

It’s worth mentioning that these aren’t their actual names; rather, they are the names they gave their egos. I encourage all my clients to name their egos. This practice helps them to separate themselves from their ego by addressing it as a separate entity. By envisioning their ego in a chair before them, calling it by name, and speaking to it, they find it easier to detach. You cannot identify with your ego if you are addressing it. Thus, “you,” the “real self,” can engage with the “false self,” allowing you to identify with your true self instead of the ego’s issues.

The Cold Lunch Incident

Returning to the story, it seems that earlier in the week, little Stevie had rudely interrupted Yolanda while she was immersing herself in her favorite hobby, bringing her a fresh, home-cooked lunch. Unfortunately, parts of the lunch were cold by the time it arrived before “Queen Yolanda” (ha ha).

In response, the queen simply said, “It’s cold, go warm it up!”

Poor little Stevie had labored over several pots for the meal and asked which part was cold so he could pinpoint which pot he needed to heat up. Before he could even process the request, Queen Yolanda retorted, “Never mind, I’ll just do it myself!” and stormed off to the kitchen to warm up her food.

Now, that’s not exactly how it played out, but it certainly makes for a more entertaining retelling (ha ha)!

Shifting Focus: No Blame, Just Ownership

Importantly, all my clients are aware that we won’t place blame on one another; rather, we own our “sh*t.” I am neither a therapist nor a counselor, and I don’t give relationship advice. I don’t focus on what the other person “did wrong”. My goal is not to focus on “the problem” or discuss “the problem” that only seems to snowball when we focus on it. I certainly do not want to meet weekly to focus on and discuss “the problem,” causing you to think about “the problem” all week, only to return and talk about “the problem” again. “The problem” won’t dissipate as long as we give it our attention and focus. Do you see my point? WHAT YOU FOCUS ON GROWS!

Understanding that the reality we perceive through our eyes is a projection from within, I consciously choose not to focus on anything external to them. Instead, we ask ourselves, “Why did I create that?” This approach removes blame and promotes ownership, allowing individuals to embrace their role as creators of their own lives. It encourages taking responsibility for the things that manifest in their reality, compelling them to confront their challenges and recognize that they have crafted the life they experience. Instead of going within and owning her “sh*t” and asking “why did I create this?” Queen Yolanda chose to go outside of herself and act as a victim asking “How could you do this TO me?”

Embracing Self-Discovery

Yolanda grasped this philosophy well and was genuinely eager to explore her personal growth by asking, “Why did I create that?” After sharing laughs about her reaction to the cold food and playfully chastising little Stevie for the audacity to slave over a hot stove only to serve the queen cold food (ha ha), we delved deeper. Together, we uncovered why Yolanda felt like a victim even when she was perfectly positioned to express immense gratitude.

As soon as I made my first observation about the situation, they both burst into laughter, instantly understanding what I meant.

Creating More of What You Desire

I said, “Be prepared for more cold food next week,” highlighting that the manner in which they “reacted” to their circumstances was exactly what they were ultimately creating more of in the future. There are likely many women reading this, aghast at the idea that Yolanda has what they have only dreamed of: a man who cooks and serves her. They would likely accept a cold plate of “cat food” with gratitude instead of complaining (ha ha).

But in all seriousness, the lesson here is this: What you react to is your reality. Had Yolanda responded with gratitude, the universe would have reflected back to her even more opportunities to express gratitude in her life—more home-cooked meals, more amazing experiences. Instead, by reacting as a “victim,” she inadvertently invited more opportunities to be a victim.

Reflections of the You-niverse

God created a “You-niverse” within you, which has an identical twin, “the universe,” that acts as a mirror. It may seem external, but it is actually projected from inside you. The energy, frequency, and vibration you emit from your “you-niverse” will be reflected back by the “universe.” It serves as a mirror and a teacher, revealing what is happening within you. It’s important not to react to what you have created; don’t respond to a projection. It’s like someone casting a shadow on a wall and running in fear from it—the shadow originated from them. By starting with that understanding, you will see your “reality” as a creator rather than a victim.

Digging for gold

Triggers are our “gold.” Most people get triggered, entertain the trigger, express themselves, get offended, and then move on with their lives. However, we cannot waste a good trigger. If it triggers you, it is “IN” you. It cannot trigger you if it is not “in” you first. This is the essence of the word “trigger.” What is it triggering? It touches a sensitive area deep within you that elicits a “reaction.” What many people fail to realize is that this “reaction” is shaping your reality. Now we have a “pattern” that snowballs as the cycle continues.

Final Thoughts

What you react to is your reality. If everything you see outwardly is projected from within, don’t react to the mirror. Don’t engage with a shadow on the wall. Instead, use it as a gift that shows you where you can grow. What hidden belief systems are creating this projection on the wall? If you see it outside of you, it means it is within you. If you want more opportunities to have hot food served to you while having fun and being a “queen” (ha ha), then react with gratitude. If you want more cold food in the future, be a “bitch.”

All joking aside, if you are interested in diving deeper and doing the hard work of dealing with your triggers. Check out my course “Why Am I Here?” it has helped many change their lives dramatically!

Why my prayers were not getting answered

Personal Journey Over Tradition

Not interested in getting into a theological debate with anyone, I am simply sharing an account of my own experiences that have shaped my understanding of spirituality. I firmly believe in emphasizing personal experience over inherited teachings when it comes to matters of the spirit.

Wrestling with Prayer

For more than two decades, I found myself wrestling with the concept of prayer as it was taught to me. My instruction came from a lineage of teachers—each passing down their interpretations and doctrines, until the teachings seemed more like a game of telephone than a direct connection to truth. To me, it was all steeped in personal opinions and perspectives, lacking the authenticity that comes with genuine experience. It wasn’t until I embarked on my own journey that the abstract notions of belief began to crystallize into the certainty of knowing. The transition from “believing” to “knowing” is profound and transformative.

The Example of My Son

I often use the example of my son to illustrate this point. I don’t merely believe he exists; I know he does, because I have seen and experienced him in my life. When you rely solely on the teachings of others, you remain in a state of belief—an echo of someone else’s truth. This was precisely my predicament concerning prayer. I learned to pray as prescribed by those around me—leaders and mentors in my church community—who might have possessed good intentions but, in truth, lacked a true understanding of prayer. They merely echoed what had been taught to them.

Breaking the Cycle

Unfortunately, I fell into the same pattern; I regurgitated teachings as if they were gospel truth, anchoring my convictions on beliefs still rooted in secondhand knowledge. However, as I implemented these lessons in my own life, I found them wanting. The results were inconsistent, often resembling a shot in the dark rather than a dependable practice. When prayers went unanswered, my leaders offered a litany of excuses for my perceived failures, but those justifications never resonated with me.

Questioning My Purpose

I began to question if my life’s purpose was to liberate others from the maddening cycle of religion. As many know, insanity is often defined as doing the same thing repeatedly while expecting different outcomes. This accurately captures my historical relationship with religion. I prayed fervently, striving to hit all the right notes—using the correct words at the appropriate times and under the right conditions—yet my prayers often felt fruitless. Curiously, if someone had asked me in those days if my prayers were effective, I would have vehemently defended them, asserting that perhaps I simply didn’t understand God’s plans. To be frank, that rationale was exhausting and felt like a convenient excuse.

Stepping Away from Dogma

In my quest for authenticity, I stepped away from the confines of religious dogma and set off on a search for truth. After serving as a pastor for two decades, I distanced myself from it all. I distinctly recall telling God I would not share another message until I received clear, undeniable answers. The internal conflict was profound; I felt hypocritical preaching faith when people around me were suffering—battling illness, facing financial ruin, or enduring mournful losses.

Re-evaluating My Foundations

I realized my own understanding was built on shaky foundations. I had cherished beliefs shaped by others’ interpretations rather than rooted in my own experiences. The discrepancies and contradictions within scripture became glaringly obvious to me. I knew I needed to unlearn everything I had been taught about God and prayer, to strip away the layers of dogma that had been imposed on me. To accommodate new wisdom, I had to release the old wineskins that housed outdated doctrines.

Encounter with Wisdom

A pivotal moment arrived during a transformative experience when I encountered a radiant angelic being in the form of a woman, embodying a feminine energy I came to know as “Wisdom.” In that space, words were unnecessary. Our connection transcended vocalization, as we communicated through an exchange of energy. Spirit, devoid of physicality, does not utilize mouths or linguistic constructs; instead, we are pure expressions of light, capable of taking on various forms. The spirit of Wisdom I encountered was breathtaking—her figure shimmering effortlessly, with long flowing hair and an ethereal transparency.

Lessons on Spirituality

In that luminous moment, she imparted invaluable lessons about my mission on this earth, revealing the insidious deceptions entrenched in religious teachings that ensnare so many in mental and spiritual bondage.

A New Understanding of Prayer

I learned that spirit communicates through energy, rather than words. This revelation shifted my understanding of prayer. Since this encounter, I taught my community to pray without the words. The universe operates as a mirror, reflecting our internal vibrations into the external world. What we emit energetically within ourselves will be mirrored back to us in our lives. The age-old adage “As within, so without” encapsulates this truth; it’s akin to the biblical phrase “On earth as it is in the heavens.” If you yearn for change, you cannot attempt to alter the world around you—just as you wouldn’t adjust a mirror to change your own reflection. The universe reflects what is occurring within you! Transform yourself, and you transform your existence.

    The Power of Internal Energy

I once believed that persistence in prayer would lead to results—that pleading and begging would be rewarded. Yet I discovered that this desperate energy only attracted more situations to experience desperation. You may recite the “right” words, but it’s entirely irrelevant. Words bear no weight in the universe; it’s the energy you carry within that truly matters. You can effectively pray without uttering a single word; it is your internal vibrational frequency that holds the key to your manifestations.

    Freedom from Dogma

In this newfound understanding, I found freedom. Free from the chains of dogma, I embraced a true connection to spirit, one that resonated with the energy of my being, aligning me with the genuine essence of prayer.

    The Mirror Effect

Whatever you look like in the mirror is what the mirror will reflect. If you are “hoping” for something, you will get more opportunities to not have that thing, thus remaining in the frequency of wanting and hoping. You will never attain it because, once you get it, you won’t be hoping anymore. To receive what you desire, you must not desire it; otherwise, you’ll only attract more situations that keep you in that cycle of desire. You must already possess it to truly have it. If I truly have it, I wouldn’t ask for it; asking signifies a lack.

    Embodying Your Desires

Consider how it would feel to already have what you desire. You wouldn’t ask for it; you would simply embody the feeling as if it were already yours. THAT is faith. Faith manifests as the substance of what you hope for, which is not about wishing for something absent in your life. The essence lies in “having it” already. Instead of asking, you would express gratitude to God—without words—through your frequency.

    The Frequency of Gratitude

If I’m expressing stress while thanking God with words, I’ll end up attracting more reasons to feel stressed. It isn’t about the words themselves; it’s about the frequency I am emitting that will draw similar experiences. This realization emphasizes the importance of staying in a state of continual prayer. We were misled by well-meaning individuals who simply didn’t “know” any better themselves. They, too, were taught by others. When you take what someone teaches and, through personal experience, can replicate it consistently, that’s when you truly “know” it to be a fundamental truth.

    Prayer Beyond Words

Imagine for a minute if you had no brain and could not think or talk but you could still feel. In this profound state, you are stripped of words and thoughts, left with only the raw essence of your feelings. I invite you to consider: if you could only experience emotions and I manifested those emotions back to you in the reality that you see before you, how would you pray if you could only use feelings? This, in essence, is the true nature of prayer—an intimate connection devoid of verbal expression.

    The Power of Emotions

Every emotion we carry holds a specific frequency, resonating throughout our being. When we dwell in worry and fear, we unwittingly channel our energy toward inviting misfortune. In this way, you are, in fact, worry is praying for what you do not desire.

    Reflecting Your Inner Landscape

Now, imagine standing before a mirror that reflects the depths of your emotional landscape. If I could take those feelings and project them onto your reality—innocent of language, void of conscious thought—what would stare back at you? That mirror embodies your true prayer, your heartfelt intentions, and the vibrations you send into the universe.

    Manifesting Your Reality

Your immediate reality is shaped by this unspoken dialogue, where the essence of your feelings creates your world. In this profound understanding lies the power to transform your prayers into something tangible, something beautiful. Embrace the essence of feeling, for therein lies your path to manifesting the life you truly desire.

    The Cycle of Desire

If you worry, you get more opportunities to worry. If you hope for something you don’t have, you will never get it; instead, you will only find more chances to hope for that thing. However, if you already “have it, before you have it” It is done. It is finished. It is already yours.

    Invitation for Deeper Understanding

I delve deeper into this in my course, “Why am I here?” I aimed to shed light on a complex topic within a brief blog post. I hope this brings comfort to anyone who feels they lack answers when they pray.

What is the greatest gift you can offer an unlimited being?

    Embracing the Challenge

Imagine living in a state of complete boundlessness. What does each day look like for you? If nothing is beyond your reach, how do you fill your time? Eventually, without any challenges, boredom may set in. Challenges are essential for growth and expansion; when you conquer a challenge, you emerge wiser and more knowledgeable than before. Even an unlimited being yearns for challenges.

    Living Beyond Limitations

As an unlimited spirit, I exist beyond the constraints of human limitation, fully awake in a realm where possibilities are endless. Each day—or rather, every moment—opens up like a boundless canvas waiting for my creative brush. With a mere intention, I conjure worlds, shifting landscapes, and breathtaking vistas, each one more magnificent than the last. After a while, there comes a desire to understand my unlimited nature more deeply through challenges.

    Redefining Heaven

In our limited perspective, we envision a “heaven” devoid of challenges. However, from what I understand, this is not the case. There are “opportunities” to embrace challenges that enable you to expand and comprehend your unlimited essence. This challenge is called Earth.

    The Purpose of Challenges

In heaven, there is no pain, no suffering, no malice. No one can harm you or betray you there. If you have never experienced betrayal or theft as an unlimited being, you may not fully grasp your unlimited nature. Thus, you choose to face these experiences to gain a deeper understanding of your unlimited self. Ultimately, you seek to discover your true essence. This is the purpose of challenges.

    The Veil of Illusion

The issue arises when, as an unlimited being, you are aware that you are unlimited; nothing can present a challenge because knowing that you are unlimited, you would overcome it before it fully materializes. To solve this dilemma, heaven employs what is known as “the veil.” Similar to a bride’s veil, you recognize her but it partially obscures her face. You can’t see her “fully” until you lift the veil. In the same way, heaven’s veil does not allow you to see yourself as an unlimited being until the veil is lifted, which we call “awakening.”

    Embracing the Earthly Experience

For a soul to undertake the challenge of Earth, it must don this veil and forget its unlimited nature—otherwise, there would be no challenge. Souls choose various limitations, and I delve into this further in my “Why Am I Here?” course. Once veiled and on Earth, the soul completely forgets its true identity. I use “it” as a neutral term because spirit has no gender.

    The Nature of Deception

This veil is manifested in the form of the human body. The body, mind, and thoughts are unique to physical existence. The unlimited creator being loses sight of the fact that it is unlimited and begins to identify with the voice in its head—“thoughts.” Deceived into believing that its thoughts are its own, it starts to identify with its physical form, living in a realm of deception and limitation. The challenge, then, is to awaken to its original, unlimited nature by piercing through the veil. This awakening experience is more of a gradual process than a single event. The journey of awakening to our true selves is what we are here for.

    The Hidden Power Within

You are inherently unstoppable and limitless, yet you have forgotten. Inside a body designed to sabotage itself with limiting thoughts and false identities, you have accepted this challenge and crafted it this way. The body is shaped to encourage you to succumb to limitations by instilling identification with thoughts.

    The Internal Battle

The true struggle lies within. The internal dialogue will discourage you from pursuing your desires by convincing you that you are that very voice. If you can step “out of your head” and tap into your true essence, you can achieve anything you set your intentions toward. Notice, I didn’t say you can accomplish anything your MIND desires; you are not the mind. That is the crux of my message. The voice in your head is not your true self. That voice represents the matrix. The deception.

    The Journey of Awakening

My awakening journey has been long, and I am grateful for the illusion and challenge I accepted. Discovering my true self has been an incredible revelation. It is one thing to be told who you are; it’s entirely different to awaken from illusion and truly KNOW who you are—not being defined by your body or thoughts is one of the most profound experiences imaginable!

    Finding Clarity in the Illusion

I should add that while I was identified with my body, concepts like this one would have been impossible for me to grasp. I encountered them through subtle hints I left for myself, like droplets of insight. Over time, exposure to different perspectives and others’ near-death experiences gradually nudged me awake. So, I understand when someone initially rejects this message; it’s part of the design that keeps them veiled. But when the time is right, this message will resonate with them.

    The Greatest Gift of All

So, what is the greatest gift you can give an unlimited being? The illusion of limitation!

    The Conscious Choice: Beyond Fear

    Introduction

Since my awakening experience, I’ve embarked on a profound journey of self-discovery, learning how to actively follow my highest excitement in every moment of my life. While articulating this process may be complex and sometimes challenging to grasp intellectually, I’ve discovered that it’s often more effective to bypass the need for complete understanding and to simply engage with the steps involved. I was first introduced to this concept by Bashar in his “kit of excitement” and have further developed it through my teacher RJ Spina

    Being Present

One of the fundamental truths I’ve realized is that the mind lives in either the past or the future. It’s our consciousness that is fully present in the here and now. It is absolutely critical that you understand this when making decisions, to ensure you don’t repeat the same toxic patterns in your life. The mind can not be present, it either ruminates over past experiences or worries about future events. A key realization was understanding that as long as I am thinking, I am not present. This idea took time to fully grasp, but once I did, I became much more aware of not making a decision from the “fear based mind” and only making decisions “in the moment” while fully conscious.

    Meditation

Meditation has become a vital practice in my journey. Meditation is the silence in between thoughts. During meditation, I have the opportunity to either listen to my thoughts or be present— being “out of my mind” and fully immersed in the moment is the goal. When sitting in silence, it’s relatively easy to distinguish between thoughts and presence. However, in the midst of daily life, recognizing which one we’re engaging with while making decisions is a skill that requires continuous refinement. This awareness becomes crucial as we navigate the complexities of our day-to-day experiences, striving to make choices from a place of presence rather than the fear based mind.

Importance of Being Present in Decision-Making

Every decision must be made consciously, in the present moment. Trust your gut rather than the mind. To make the best decision in every moment, we must remain fully present; we cannot allow the fear-driven mind to influence our choices. The ego mind is only able to make decisions rooted in fear, based on past experiences or anxiety about future challenges. Making decisions from the mind will guarantee you repeat the same fear based patterns.

    Breaking the Cycle

To truly break free from this cycle, we must engage in a practice of conscious choice-making in every moment, almost as if we are making decisions without a brain. Yes, I know that sounds absurd, but hear me out please! In each and every moment we have an array of choices, and the key is to select the option that contains the highest excitement. Choose the one that just feels right even if it doesn’t make sense. By doing so, we invite a world of endless possibilities to unfold before us.

    Scenario for Understanding

Allow me to illustrate this concept with a simple scenario. In this very moment, what do I genuinely wish to do? My heart yearns for a refreshing walk outdoors, yet my mind interrupts with thoughts about responsibility and productivity, warning that I must not waste time being idle. So, in this moment I am presented with two options; go for a walk or be productive. If I concede to my mind’s narrative, I limit myself to a path defined by fear and past experiences.

    Choosing the Path of Passion

Conversely, if I choose to honor my desire for a walk despite my mind’s objections, I step into the realm of unlimited possibilities. This decision might seem illogical at first, creating inner turmoil, but in this space, I must remain aware and intentional about my choice. By choosing to go with my gut rather than the mind, it opens doors to unlimited and unexpected opportunities—ones I could never anticipate or plan through logic alone. Conversely, by allowing fear-based thinking to guide my choices it limits me and confines me to familiar, often toxic patterns.

    Conclusion

In retrospect, my mind might claim that I squandered time on a walk that should have been devoted to work. However, what it fails to comprehend is that in that seemingly trivial choice, while on my walk, I might meet someone who plays a pivotal role in my life’s narrative — perhaps the person who will help publish the book I’ve always dreamed of writing. This serendipitous encounter could be the catalyst for a series of events that transform my creative aspirations into reality, opening doors I never knew existed.

When I choose in the moment to go with the option that sparks the highest excitement, I am surrendering to a higher guidance that the mind cannot orchestrate on its own. This intuitive decision-making taps into a wellspring of wisdom beyond conscious reasoning, aligning me with opportunities that resonate with my true purpose. It’s as if the universe conspires to support my journey when I trust my inner compass in every moment.

The mind, in its limited capacity, operates from a place of fear and linear thinking; it cannot fathom the magic of such spontaneous encounters. It seeks to control and predict, often steering us away from the very experiences that could lead to our greatest growth and fulfillment. This fear-based approach keeps us tethered to the familiar, even when the familiar no longer serves our highest good.

When I allow the mind to dictate my decisions, I remain trapped in a cycle of fear, repeating toxic patterns. This self-imposed limitation closes off avenues for meaningful connections and life-changing opportunities. It’s a form of self-sabotage that keeps us locked in a familiar zone that, paradoxically, becomes increasingly uncomfortable over time.

Ultimately, the choice between following your excitement in every moment or succumbing to fear is a decision between expansion and contraction, between embracing the unknown with enthusiasm or retreating into the illusory safety of the familiar. By consistently choosing passion, we invite magic into our lives, co-creating a reality that surpasses our wildest dreams and aligns with our deepest truths.

It’s crucial to remember: the mind cannot remain present. Decisions driven by fear are its default mode. If we seek to inhabit a life brimming with adventure and limitless potential, we must consciously choose in the present, transcending the limitations of fear. If this is of interest to you and you would like some help, I’d be happy to coach you through it. You can click here to setup a free 15 min consultation with me.

The Energy of Money and the Path to Abundance

    The Nature of Energy

We are fundamentally energy, transcending the physical limitations of our bodies and minds. Money, too, is a form of energy; it is not merely a resource we accumulate or a commodity we possess. To truly grasp the depth of this concept, one must take the time to reflect on it.

    The Biblical Connection

There is a poignant verse in the Bible stating that if you harbor grievances against someone, and you find yourself at the altar ready to offer your gift—your money—you should pause. First, seek reconciliation with your brother, and only then return to give your offering. For a long time, I struggled to comprehend this scripture. What connection could there possibly be between my emotions towards someone and the act of giving money?

    Understanding Money as Energy

The answer lies in how we perceive money. If we see it as something external to ourselves, the scripture’s message will remain elusive. However, if we recognize that we are energy and that money is also energy, a different understanding emerges. When you give money, you are not merely handing over physical currency; you are exchanging energy. If you’re upset while making this exchange, what you’re offering is not just a sum of money, but the energy of your discontent as well. It’s crucial to understand that these energies are intertwined—money is not a detached, lifeless object, but a vibrant transfer of energy.

The Principle of Sowing and Reaping

What we cannot see—the essence of our energy—will determine what we receive in return. This is the principle of sowing and reaping: if you sow seeds of anger, resentment, or victimhood, those are the very outcomes you will reap into your life. When you grasp that money is energy—an extension of your own being—you will find that you are more inclined to give willingly and wholeheartedly. The energy behind your giving is far more significant than the mere dollar bills you exchange.

    The Energy Behind Payments

Consider the energy you project when you pay bills. Are you frustrated, feeling like a victim of high costs and unfair charges? That energy of victimhood will only attract more circumstances where you feel victimized. The universe reflects back to you exactly what you put out, adhering to the concept of energetic reciprocity.

    Metaphysical Insights

This profound understanding did not come to me through traditional religious teachings but through the lens of metaphysics. The Bible is rich with truths that many overlook because they approach its teachings as mere rules to follow, rather than as deep, life-altering revelations. When you interpret these scriptures through the mindset that money is an external entity, you miss the transformative insights they offer.

    The Kingdom Within

Ultimately, there is nothing outside of ourselves that holds value. The Kingdom of Heaven dwells within us. If everything we need is inherently within, why would we seek it outside ourselves? This truth is not merely an intellectual realization; it is a deeply rooted revelation that resonates within your spirit, surpassing ordinary understanding.

    The Principle of Oneness

The principle of Oneness teaches us that we are interconnected with the universe and with one another. When we give to someone in need, we are, in essence, giving to ourselves. This is echoed in the teachings of Jesus, who said that to give to the poor is to give to Him, and to visit those in prison is to visit Him. We are all part of a collective existence, so when you support a company or service, you are also investing in your own well-being. The energy with which you contribute to others will dictate the energy you receive in return.

    Embracing a New Perspective

I recognize that this perspective may seem challenging for many to grasp, and there will undoubtedly be those who respond with their preconceived notions about money. Yet, once you receive this revelation, you become empowered and can cultivate a life of abundance in all its forms.

    The Ongoing Journey

I am still on this journey myself and strive to break free from my ingrained beliefs about money. The lessons I learned in my childhood have shaped my current perspective, and I often find myself reverting to those old thought patterns. I explain how to break those patterns in my course Why Am I Here? However, each time I catch myself attempting to “make” money or giving with a reluctant heart, it feels like a victory in my quest for deprogramming. I continuously remind myself that “I AM” everything I need within me. This understanding is liberating and a step toward truly transforming my relationship with money and energy.

Are You Afraid Of Your Own Shadow?

If I told you that I know people who are truly terrified of their own shadows, you might find it hard to believe. While I don’t know anyone who is literally afraid of their physical shadow, many of my clients and, in fact, a vast majority of people you encounter are scared of projections—mental constructs rather than tangible entities.

Imagine a shadow cast on a wall. We can all agree that this shadow isn’t real; it’s merely a projection of an object blocking light. It’s absurd to argue with a shadow, to speak to it, or to blame it for something in your life. Yet, that’s what many of us do when we react to life’s challenges as if they were real threats. The shadow is harmless; it is simply an illusion.

Everything you observe in the world around you is a reflection of your inner self. This 3D world exists only as a projection of what we create internally. You are the one projecting your reality. When you perceive external circumstances as overwhelmingly negative or uncontrollable, remember that you are essentially reacting to your own creation—your own shadow.

Everything outside of you originates from within. The phrase “as within, so without” encapsulates this idea. Blaming external factors for your discomfort is like blaming a shadow on the wall—it just doesn’t make sense. I spent much of my life pointing fingers at others or at circumstances, failing to recognize that I was merely seeing a reflection of my own thoughts and beliefs. Rather than blaming the reflection in the mirror, we must turn inward and make changes within ourselves to alter that reflection.

Before my awakening, I saw life as a series of challenges thrown at me by an adversarial universe. I felt like a victim, as though life were working against me. While I may not fully understand the intricate metaphysics of creation, I’ve come to realize that I am the creator of my reality. The first step is letting go of the false belief that anything exists outside of us that’s beyond our control. As long as you see yourself as a victim, you will remain captive to the shadows you perceive.

Once you understand that the shadows cannot frighten you because they are projections of yourself, you’ll realize they are completely harmless. The fear comes not from the shadows themselves, but from your perception and interpretation of them. It may seem ridiculous to react to your own projections, yet this is precisely what most of us do regularly. The truth is that your subconscious patterns and fears are actively crafting the reality you experience.

You don’t have to accept a life of mere reaction. Once you recognize that you are the one projecting these shadows, it becomes easier to alter how they manifest in your life. While this life may not be entirely real, your experience of it is undeniably real. Consider the person who believes the shadows are terrifying demons. That fear is genuine for them, even though the shadows are ultimately illusory.

What you define in your life ultimately defines you. If you label the shadows as monstrous entities that haunt and curse you, that becomes your lived reality. In contrast, someone who understands their role as the creator of their shadows can navigate life with joy and resilience, untouched by the illusions around them. Because they don’t give attention to the shadows, they respond based on the definitions they choose to embrace.

Initially, when I was introduced to these concepts, I resisted. I dismissed the idea that shadows were mere projections, insisting that my struggles represented a valid reality. To me, the world was a difficult place, and those who espoused spiritual ideas were just living in a fantasy. My understanding of life was rigid, and I believed I had a grasp on what was real.

I’ve been fortunate to learn from an outstanding teacher, RJ Spina, who has opened my eyes to profound truths that actually work in practical settings. When I experienced the spiritual realm and connected with God directly, belief transformed into knowing; I no longer had to rely on faith but could rest on direct experience. Before this awakening, I had countless beliefs based on uncertainty.

The toxic behaviors I repeated stemmed from a victim mentality, creating patterns that consistently appeared in my life. I spoke passionately about the reality of my shadows, yet RJ helped me see that I was the one responsible for creating those patterns. As I began to awaken to this truth, my perspective shifted—when I moved, the shadows followed.

I can’t fully delve into this profound concept in a single blog post. However, I explore it in greater detail in my online course, “Why Am I Here?” After spending many years reacting to the circumstances of life as if they were shadows on a wall, I finally awakened in my early 50’s. My eyes became open to the lies I had accepted because I did not yet know the truth.

I vividly remember how defensive I was when I encountered these ideas for the first time. It challenged everything I believed about my reality, forcing me to confront uncomfortable truths. The journey has been transformative, leading to a deeper understanding of myself and the world around me. When we face the truth, we can finally begin to reshape our lives and step into our power as conscious creators of our reality.

    Does Time Exist?

Since my awakening, I’ve come to realize a few things. The concept of time doesn’t intrinsically exist. It is a manmade construct. In my “spiritual” experiences, which some may call “out-ofbody” experiences, there was no such thing as time. There was no distance either. Time and distance are limitations that don’t exist outside of this body.

    Navigating The Spirit Realm

In one of my out-of-body experiences, (which you can read here), I explained how I navigated the spirit realm. When I focused on going to a specific location, I found myself there immediately in consciousness. This meant I was fully present without any need for physical travel, as there was no real distance to traverse. In the physical world, traveling from the West Coast to the East Coast takes time due to the distance involved. However, such limitations do not exist in the spirit realm.

    Only The Experience is Real

During these experiences, I could not revisit the past or leap into the future. If I wished to experience something, I engaged with it in the present moment of consciousness. Here in the physical realm, we tend to believe that the past exists because we experienced it, but it only exists as a story in our minds. I could easily alter that story without physically going anywhere. Ultimately, only the experience itself is real. I can only experience the past “right now”. I cannot travel to the future; when it arrives, it can only be engaged with “right now” in the present moment. Therefore, the only true existence is this moment. “Right Now” The past and the future only exist as a “story” in our minds.

    I AM

Every time I find myself out of body, I am acutely aware of my existence. I AM. I am only aware of the present moment. THERE ARE NO THOUGHTS. There is no brain to generate thoughts. Thoughts are specific to the brain which exists only in the body, so when you leave the body, you leave the thoughts.  What we refer to as the ego arises from this body and mind. Upon leaving the body, thoughts dissipate; what remains is pure presence, awareness, and consciousness. The concepts of “I was” or “I will” cease to exist.

The “will” of man is different than thoughts

When you are OUT of your BODY, you don’t think. Instead, there is only intention or will. If I choose (or “will”) to experience something, it happens instantaneously. I can “intend” or “will” to be somewhere without having a single thought. If you identify as your thoughts, if you identify as a human, it can be challenging to grasp this reality.

    We are NOT our thoughts

My most significant revelation occurs when I return to my body after an out-of-body experience. I transition from a limitless existence to a state of limitation. I shift from a space of no thoughts to being aware of a voice within this body that speaks to me. With each out-of-body experience, I further realize that I am not the voice in my head; I am pure consciousness, and thoughts become more like distractions—akin to radio signals that I can choose to connect with or disregard.

    What are you listening to?

Listening to the radio serves as a good analogy; I can select a frequency to tune into. There are numerous frequencies available, but I don’t perceive all of them simultaneously. I choose which one I want to be conscious of, and I can also opt to ignore them altogether.

I am not the radio station, nor am I the frequency. I am simply aware of them and can choose to engage with them.

Thus, it would be absurd to claim that because I am listening to a frequency, I am that frequency. Thoughts operate similarly; they are interference like radio signals or stations that we can choose to tune into.

The mind can not be present

The past and the future are where the ego resides—it cannot exist in the present moment. They are merely stories formed within the mind. The mind is either ruminating about a past hurt or worrying about a future event. The true essence of who we are exists in the present moment. We are pure awareness, capable of choosing whether to be limited by tuning into specific frequencies.

In reality, it is just an experience, separate from our true selves. The same applies to our thoughts.

    You are consciousness itself

I delve into these ideas more thoroughly in my course, “Why Am I Here?” The essential takeaway is that you are not the voice in your head; you are consciousness itself. The past and the future are illusions; only the present moment is real.

    Help For Your Journey

I’ve dedicated my life to helping people discover their true selves. Many of us feel constrained by patterns and programs that make us feel trapped. Living in our heads can be overwhelming, but it is possible to experience life free from constant thoughts. You don’t have to engage with negative mental patterns designed for failure. Instead, you can embrace a life beyond your mind. Remember, you are the creator of your reality; you can choose to create rather than react.

If you’re looking for support on your journey, I am available for coaching sessions. My course, [Why Am I Here], is also an excellent resource. When combined with a coaching session, this approach has proven transformative for my clients, as it allows me to focus on your unique challenges and help you overcome them rather than teaching the basics.

    Enjoy the journey

The Play of Life: Understanding Our Divine Roles and Lessons

Imagine if you played a character in a play on stage. Before the play begins, everyone agrees on the storyline and assigns different roles. If you choose to play the villain, and your fellow actor plays the victim, could you possibly be upset with him afterward for his role? Absolutely not! That would be absurd. He is only acting out his part. The character he portrays does not truly reflect who he is behind the scenes.
